Viettel Telecom honoured as best mobile data service provider in 2019

Viettel Telecom Corporation has been named Vietnam’s Mobile Data Service Provider of the Year at the 2019 Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards recently held in Singapore.

Hanoi (VNA) – Viettel Telecom Corporation has been named Vietnam’sMobile Data Service Provider of the Year at the 2019 Frost & SullivanAsia-Pacific Best Practices Awards recently held in Singapore.

The company was honoured thanks to its strong growth of data subscribers,service diversity, large scope of service supply, and heavy investment ininfrastructure and telecommunication eco-system.

In the first nine months of 2019, the number of 4G subscribers reached 21million, doubling the amount in 2018 and accounting for 65 percent of totalViettel subscribers. The corporation will expand 5G services with various datapackages to facilitate internet access for everyone.

Furthermore, several free entertainment applications like Mocha and Keeng havebeen provided for the customers.

Viettel Telecom General Director Cao Anh Son said: “The award affirms Viettelhas been on the right track in its digital transformation. We will channel moreefforts to bring the best services to our customers”.

Meanwhile, Nidhi Jalali, an analyst at the Frost & Sullivan, said thatViettel has an impressive growth of data subscribers thanks to its rationaldata packages for both urban and rural customers.

With its heavy ICT investment, Viettel has become an excellent data serviceprovider, and improved its prestige in the telecommunication sector, she added.

Vietnam, Russia move to boost financial cooperation

On bilateral economic, trade and investment ties, Tuan said two-way trade hit 3.24 billion USD in the first seven months of 2026, up 12% from a year earlier. Vietnam’s exports to Russia totaled 1.33 billion USD, while imports amounted to 1.91 billion USD.

Ho Chi Minh City seeks to make seaports new growth driver

Vietnam promotes finance for green agriculture

Data presented in the report reflects effective migration governance in recent years. The average recruitment cost paid by migrant workers dropped by 23.8%, from 164.9 million VND (6,400 USD) in 2021 to 125.7 million VND in 2025.
