Hanoi (VNA) - Bitel, a brand of Viettel Peru has won a 27 million USD contract to provide information and technology infrastructure for 1,837 schools in Peru.
Accordingly, Bitel would help the schools improve their services for the education and training sector in Peru, Thoi bao Tai chinh (Financial Times) reported.
The project includes four packages and would be implemented in 25 cities and provinces in the country.
This is the largest project which Bitel has won so far. The project proposed by Bitel was evaluated to be better than current plans used in the country.
Do Manh Hung, General Director of Viettel Global, said Bitel has been given trust from its partners thanks to added values and reasonable costs to customers. This has brought new opportunities for Bitel in the future in Peru.
Bitel took four months to win the contract. Its revenue in 2018 rose by 82 percent from the previous year to reach 30.8 million USD.
It targets revenue of 40 million USD in 2019 from the business-to-business sector alone.-VNA
