Hanoi (VNA) - FoxSports Asia has listed Vietnamese striker Le Cong Vinh as one ofASEAN football’s five greatest-ever international scorers on its website.

With51 goals scored for Vietnam in 83 caps, Vinh is levelwith France legend Thierry Henry and Poland starRobert Lewandowski, Fox wrote.

Heis ranked 34th in the world and No. 11 in Asia.

“Vinhwas also the man for the big occasion and memorably scored the goal that won Vietnam theirfirst and only AFF crown to date. Despite only being 31, it has been a yearsince Vinh hung up his boots, but it will take something – or someone – specialto beat his record.”

Theother players are Thai Kiatisuk Senamuang (71 goals in 134caps), Singapore’s Fandi Ahmad (55 goals in 101 caps), Filipino PhilYounghusband (47 goals in 92 caps) and Indonesian Bambang Pamungkas (38 goalsin 86 caps).-VNA
