Moscow (VNA) – Permanent Vice Secretary of the Party’s Committee of northern Vinh Phuc province Tran Van Vinh has visited Russia as part of his tour of several European nations to promote trade.
Vinh and his entourage arrived in Russia on September 3 for the start of the tour in the hope of seeking opportunities for goods from Vinh Phuc to gain access to this market.
Welcoming the delegation, Charge d’affaires to Russia Lai Ngoc Doan said he hopes information gained from the fact-finding trip will be taken into account in the province’s economic and trade policy-making. The Embassy of Vietnam in Moscow has been acting as a bridge to help Vietnamese enterprises connect with the Russian market.
According to Vice Secretary Tran Van Vinh, Vinh Phuc has advantage in assembly industry with large industrial parks. The province has grown clean red dragon fruits and Cavendish banana in an effort to develop clean agriculture, Vinh said, adding that it is eyeing to enhance trade with Russia and has prepared all necessary information, including its strengths, to promote itself among local partners.
The delegation visited Hanoi-Moscow trade centre in Moscow and learn firsthand about how to open a business representative at the centre.-VNA
