During the recent holidays of Reunification Day and May Day, Vung Tau city in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vũng Tau welcomed about 190,000 visitors, up 27 percent over the same period last year.
The city was crowded during all five days of the long holiday period. Tourist numbers peaked on April 30, with 83,000 visitors. This is the highest number of visitors the city has welcomed on any one day.
