Vietnam Airlines held a seminar in the central city of Da Nang on May 18, aiming to seek ways to turn Vietnam’s central region into a popular destination for Chinese-speaking tourists.
The event drew the participation of leaders from Da Nang City People’s Committee, representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and travel agents from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, all important partners of Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam.
According to the carrier, with its similarities to Bali (Indonesia) and Phuket (Thailand), that both attract a large number of tourists from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Vietnam’s central region boasts long beaches and blue sea and improved infrastructure will help the region become an ideal destination for tourists.
In order to improve services to the central region, Vietnam Airlines recently coordinated with travel companies to launch charter flights between Da Nang and Hong Kong, and Taiwan - key markets in this plan./.
