VN attends communist party congress in Chile

A Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation led by Vuong Thua Phong, Deputy Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, took part in the 24 th National Congress of the Communist Party of Chile (CPC) from December 10-12.
A Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation led by Vuong Thua Phong, Deputy Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, took part in the 24 th National Congress of the Communist Party of Chile (CPC) from December 10-12.

The Vietnamese representative delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and presented the CPV Central Committee’s telegram of greetings to the congress.

The congress focused on discussing measures to enhance Chile ’s alliance with left-wing and progressive forces, domestic and regional social organisations in order to struggle for the goal of socialism, national independence and democracy as well as protecting the interests of labour.

During their stay in Santiago , the Vietnamese delegation met with CPC President Guillermo Tellier and General Secretary Lautaro Carmona to discuss ways to strengthen solidarity and cooperation between the two countries./.
