A high-level Vietnamese delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh has taken part in an executive leadership programme at Harvard University in the US .
The Vietnam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) was held from Feb. 13-17 as an annual exchange programme organised by Harvard under the sponsorship of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
This year’s programme focused on the global economy, restructuring of global finance, planning for macro-economic policies, and climate change – challenges and opportunities for Vietnam.
The Vietnamese officials exchanged views with leading US experts on these themes.
During the programme, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and met with Overseas Vietnamese, including students in Boston .
Talking to the students, Deputy PM Ninh said that Vietnam needs high-quality human resources, especially those who have studied and worked abroad and affirmed that they will get worthy positions when they return the country.
While in the US , the Vietnamese delegation visited Omni Parker House, where President Ho Chi Minh worked between 1911-1913./.
