Dr. Ho Quang Minh, chief coordinator of the National Hospital for Acupuncture’s international cooperation projects, has participated in an international tourism training conference in the northern Zacatecas State of Mexico.
The conference attracted hundreds of participants from Mexico’s northern states, and southern states of the US.
Addressing the event, Minh briefed the participants on Vietnam’s tourism potential, highlighting more than 40,000 landscapes, 117 museums, eight world biosphere reserves, 30 national parks and many beautiful beaches.
Especially, Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay and Nha Trang Bay are listed as two of the world’s best bays, he noted.
Minh also introduced photos featuring Vietnam and its people as well as the Vietnam Pictorial provided by the Vietnam News Agency to all participants.
Zacatecas State Secretary of Tourism Pedro Unguanzo and Rector of the State’s Autonomous University Armando Silva highly valued Vietnam’s tourism potential and praised the country’s wonderful beauty spots and diverse culture. They expressed their hopes to contemplate Vietnam’s splendour in the near future.
Local chiefs and participants at the conference proposed cooperation in organising cultural activities, providing information and seeking ways to boost tourism between Vietnam and Mexico in general and Zacatecas in particular.-VNA
