The legislative bodies of Vietnam and Cambodia should increase bilateral cooperation and share experience in law-making, said a top Vietnamese legislator.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Huynh Ngoc Son made the statement during his meeting in Hanoi on Dec. 30 with a delegation of the Cambodian National Assembly’s Commission on Interior, National Defence, Investigation, Anti-Corruption and Public Function, led by its deputy head Pal Sam Oeurn.
Son expressed his wish that the two legislatures would continue to take measures and effectively promote cooperation mechanisms, thus boosting the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia .
He described the Cambodian delegation’s visit as a vivid manifestation of the friendly neighbourliness and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Pal Sam Oeurn informed Son of the outcomes of the talks between his delegation and the Vietnamese NA’s Committee for Defence and Security, during which the two sides agreed to increase the exchange of delegations to share experience and information on their functions and tasks of mutual concern.
The Cambodian official proposed both sides continue to educate younger generations to maintain and promote the long-lasting friendship and solidarity between the two countries./.
