The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) will enhance cooperation to help expand the ties between the two countries.
VUFO Vice President Nguyen Van Kien and his Chinese guest Li Wuwei, CPAPD Vice President said in their meeting in Hanoi on Apr. 18.
Kien shared experience on getting support from non-governmental organisations, to help reduce poverty, and improve healthcare, education and training services.
Overcoming the war aftermath and addressing environmental problems and climate change were also on the agenda.
Li Wuwei, who is also Vice-Chairman of the National Committee for the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, briefed his host on joint activities being carried out between the CPAPD, the Peace Committee and the Fund for Peace and Development in Vietnam as well as exchanges between the two countries’ people.-VNA
