VN, Chinese officials discuss people exchanges

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) will enhance cooperation to help expand the ties between the two countries.

VUFO Vice President Nguyen Van Kien and his Chinese guest Li Wuwei,CPAPD Vice President said in their meeting in Hanoi on Apr. 18.

Kienshared experience on getting support from non-governmentalorganisations, to help reduce poverty, and improve healthcare, educationand training services.

Overcoming the war aftermath and addressing environmental problems and climate change were also on the agenda.

Li Wuwei, who is also Vice-Chairman of the National Committee for theChinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, briefed his host onjoint activities being carried out between the CPAPD, the PeaceCommittee and the Fund for Peace and Development in Vietnam as well asexchanges between the two countries’ people.-VNA

Measures to be taken to remove barriers for power investment
