Duong Duc Hung, deputy head of the Vietnam-Germany Hospital ’s Heart and Chest Surgery Department, said that the two heart transplant patients have regained consciousness and are receiving intensive care after one day of operation.

The patients are a 35-year-old man who suffer from an aortic valve failure and a 11-year-old child with congenital heart defect.

One week earlier, the hospital’s surgeons performed two kidney, one liver and two cornea transplants with organs donated by this accident victim on five patients who suffered from organ and cornea failures./.
