Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, received Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Sun Gouxiang in Hanoi on March 7.
Lieut. Gen. Ty, who is also a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, affirmed Vietnam’s Defence Ministry will spare no effort to make contributions to increasing the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between Vietnam and China.
He expressed his wish that the Ambassador will continue to make further contributions to promoting the Vietnam-China strategic partnership in general and the two armies in particular, in line with the common aspirations of both countries’ people.
Ambassador Sun thanked Lieut. Gen. Ty for the reception and congratulated him on his appointment as the Chief of the General Staff and re-election as a member of the CPV Central Committee./.
