Members of the German Water Partnership (GWP) are keen to work with Vietnam in water and environmental technologies, said Harro Stolpe, a GWP representative, at a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on February 25.
The GWP hoped that the transfer of German technologies for water treatment and management would be carried out effectively in Vietnam in the future, especially in the context of climate change and the rising population in recent times, said the GWP representative.
Bui Van Quyen, head of the Ho Chi Minh City-based Representative Agency for the Ministry of Science and Technology, said that many German projects in water environment have seen positive results in Hanoi, the northern province of Nam Dinh, the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho and the Mekong province of Dong Thap.
According to the GWP, liaison between businesses in water supplies and the environment would strengthen ties between Vietnam and Germany./.
