VN prepares to send nurses, orderlies to Japan

The Vietnam Nurses’ Association and Asian Human Power (AHP) of Japan has signed a cooperative agreement on training nurses and orderlies.
The Vietnam Nurses’ Association and Asian Human Power (AHP) of Japanhas signed a cooperative agreement on training nurses and orderlies.

The agreement was reached at an April 24 seminar in Hanoi as atranslation of the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA)signed on December 25, 2008.

VJEPA, a bilateral agreement, includes commitments in trade liberalisation, investment and economic cooperation.

Accordingly, Vietnamese nurses and orderlies will be received by theJapanese side for training and have a chance to work in the country on along-term basis.

Experts at the seminar sharedexperience in treatment and convalescence and introduced the workingconditions as well as requirements for nurses and orderlies at Japaneseclinics and hospitals.-VNA

WHO donates 9,000 rabies vaccine doses to Vietnam’s high-risk provinces

The post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) vaccines, valued at 100,000 USD, were delivered to the Centres for Disease Control (CDC) in the two provinces through coordination with the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE), the Ministry of Health, and local authorities. The donation was made possible with financial support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

Vietnam, Japan eye stronger healthcare cooperation

Facing the World to host ENT surgery conference in Hanoi

To be held at 108 Military Central Hospital and Hong Ngoc General Hospital on October 18-19 respectively, the conference “Facing the functional, oncological and aesthetic challenges within the head and neck” will be attended by British and Vietnamese doctors specialising in ENT (ear, nose and throat) and head-neck surgery, plastic and aesthetic surgery, oncology and maxillofacial surgery.
