The Vietnamese-Thai agreement to cooperate in the extradition of convicts and execution of criminal sentences, which was signed in Bangkok on March 3, took effect as of July 19.
The two sides exchanged documents ratifying the agreement at a ceremony held the same day in Hanoi on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Ministers’ Meeting (AMM).
The agreement will help to strengthen cooperation between the judicial agencies of both countries and is a new development in their efforts to prevent and combat crime./.
