A Vietnam-Turkey workshop took place in Ho Chi Minh City on Nov. 30 to promote economic cooperation and investment between the two countries.
Jointly organised by the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) of Ho Chi Minh City and the Manisa Trade and Industry Chamber of Turkey, the workshop attracted the participation of 50 firms from Turkey .
Speaking at the workshop, head of the Turkish delegation Bulent Kosmaz said the event provided a venue for the two countries’ enterprises to seek new partners, adding that their presence at the workshop aims to strengthen trade cooperation and investment between the two countries.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Turkey is expected to reach 1 billion USD this year.
The country is also considered as a gateway for Vietnamese goods such as rice, rubber, green tea, garment products and footwear, electronic equipment and handicraft products to enter Middle East and European markets./.
