The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on Feb. 26 organised an exchange programme to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (Feb. 27, 1955 - Feb. 27, 2013).
Leaders of VNA and the Public Health Ministry joined doctors of many generations and VNA journalists who have covered the health care field over the years, at the meeting at VNA’s headquarters in Hanoi.
VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi extended his greetings to doctors, nurses, physicians and those working in the sector, saying that he and other journalists well understand the difficulties and dangers facing health workers. Over the time, VNA as the national news agency, has always working side by side with the health sector, reporting about its activities in an honest and comprehensive manner.
Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien appreciated the close and efficient cooperation between VNA and her ministry in popularising the Party and State’s policies about people’s health care and protection as well as the sector’s activities.
Information provided by VNA has helped people understand more clearly about the Vietnamese doctors’ work as well as their silent sacrifices, she stressed.
Also at the gathering, VNA journalists shared their experiences in reporting about the health care sector.
On the occasion, VNA presented insignia “For the news agency course” to 11 doctors and health care administrators. -VNA
