VNG launches UpRace Race for Community

VNG, a technology company, will launch the UpRace's Race for the Community on September 18.

HCM City (VNA) - VNG, a technology company, will launch theUpRace's Race for the Community on September 18.

Rather than racing in person, runners record their runs with a mobileapplication on the UpRace website.

The app and the website measures the cumulative distance, with each validatedkilometre fetching donations of at least 1,000 VND from sponsoring companies.

The race, which will last three weeks, aims to attract 50,000 people running 3million kilometres.

The money will be donated to Newborns Vietnam, GreenViet, Vietseeds, andOperation Smile.

Individuals and enterprises can also donate to the four organisations viaZaloPay.

Last year, the UpRace run attracted 32,000 people and raised 6 billion VND (258,566USD) for Newborns Vietnam, GreenViet and Vietseeds.
