VTV chief awarded French order of merit

French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean Noel Poirier on June 10 presented France’s National Order of Merit to General Director of the national Vietnam Television (VTV) Tran Binh Minh, honouring his contribution to boosting audiovisual cooperation between the two countries.

The order also aims to highlight Minh’s efforts in enhancing theconnection between the VTV and its French counterparts, especially intraining activities with the support of the Canal France International,the French operator in media cooperation.

Last year, trainingcourses, designed to realise commitments agreed upon by the two sides,reaped positive outcomes, contributing to the success and development ofthe VTV6 channel.

Founded in 1963, the National Order ofMerit honours French citizens and foreign nationals for theirdistinguished civil or military achievements to France.-VNA
