VTV to broadcast live Vietnam-Indonesia match in World Cup qualifiers

Vietnam Television (VTV) has earned the broadcasting rights for the 2022 World Cup qualifying match between Indonesia and Vietnam next month.

Hanoi (VNA)
- VietnamTelevision (VTV) has earned the broadcasting rights for the 2022 World Cupqualifying match between Indonesia and Vietnam next month.

The match will take place atJakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on October 15, and will be Vietnam’sthird game in Group G. It will be aired live from 7.30pm onVTV6.

VTV has reportedly paid 400,000 USDfor the match, which is a record in Vietnam.

Vietnam are currently intraining for their second match against Malaysia on October 10 in Hanoi.

Earlier, Vietnam tied goalless with Thailand in afrenetic match in the opener of the World Cup qualifiers’ Group G in Thailand’s Pathum Thani province onSeptember 5.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup’s second qualifying round for Asia features 40 teams,divided into eight groups of five teams, playing in the home-away format.
The eight group winners and four best runners-up will qualify for the third andfinal round of World Cup qualifiers./.
