A ceremony was held in Hanoi on October 30 to honour winners of a logo design contest for the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Canada diplomatic ties (1973-2018).

Hanoi (VNA) – A ceremony was held in Hanoi on October 30 to honour winnersof a logo design contest for the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Canada diplomaticties (1973-2018).

Thewinning designs will be used in events celebrating the 45th foundinganniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations, as well as in activities of theVietnam-Canada Friendship Association.

In thecategory of 45 years of Vietnam-Canada diplomatic ties, the first prize waspresented to Ho Tu Anh and Tran Ngoc Vuong from the central city of Da Nang.

Meanwhile,the design of Le Quy Hai from Hanoi won the first place to become the logo ofthe Vietnam-Canada Friendship Association.

GeneralSecretary of the association Nguyen Thi Thu Giang said after three months, thecompetition received total 126 entries of contestants from 10 localities ofVietnam and from Canada.

Since itsestablishment in May 1999, the Vietnam-Canada Friendship Association under theVietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, has hosted a number of activities topromote Vietnamese land and people to Canadian friends and vice versa, thusenhancing their mutual understanding.-VNA
