Work on My Son boosts Vietnam- India friendship
From 2017 to 2021, the governments of Vietnam and India worked on a joint project to renovate the My Son World Cultural Heritage Site in the central province of Quang Nam. The effort is vivid proof of the solidarity and friendship of the two governments and peoples.
The renovation saw significant results in the conservation of tower temples at Groups K, H, and A. At the K and H tower temples, discoveries and excavations were made on an area of more than 1,100 square metres.
The renovations, funded by the Indian Government, contributed to tightening solidarity and friendship between the two countries and between Quang Nam, the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, and other partners.
Quang Nam province will continue to work with the Indian embassy to complete the project and conduct other heritage conservation efforts. Local authorities have agreed to extend the My Son project by one year./.
