The hospital is the first among a series offacilities to be built under a project approved by the committee todevelop the city’s healthcare sector by 2020 with vision towards 2025.
Covering a total area of 24,940 square metres in TanKien and Tan Nhut communes, the 8-storey hospital will contain 1,000beds and cater for polyclinic examinations and in-and-out-patienttreatment.
According to Dr. Nguyen Tan Binh,Director of the municipal Health Department, the 2.5 trillion VND (119million USD) hospital will meet regional standards thanks to its modern,energy-saving and environmentally friendly design.
Once operational in 2015, it is expected to satisfy check-up andtreatment demand of not only local children but also those from othersouthern localities, he added.-VNA
