A close up look at the newly opened 10.000 billion VND ring road in Hanoi

The project encompasses the elevated Ring Road 2 and its corresponding extension. The elevated Ring Road 2 spans over 5 kilometers, starting from the south of Vinh Tuy bridge and ending at the intersection of Nga Tu So and Truong Chinh Street.

The new ring road project in Hanoi, worth nearly VND 10,000 billion, was inaugurated on January 11 after over four years of construction.

The project encompasses the elevated Ring Road 2 and its corresponding extension. The elevated Ring Road 2 spans over 5 kilometers, starting from the south of Vinh Tuy bridge and ending at the intersection of Nga Tu So and Truong Chinh Street.

On the other hand, the extension below covers approximately 3 kilometers, connecting Vinh Tuy Bridge to Nga Tu Vong intersection.

It has been observed that traffic congestion is gradually increasing at the bridgehead on the Vinh Tuy side leading to Nga Tu So.

Previously, vehicles had to use the Minh Khai-Truong Chinh road below, but now they can travel on the elevated road, which helps reduce traffic congestion on the surrounding routes.

The lower section of the road features 8-10 lanes, with broad sidewalks on both sides paved with stones and adorned with trees.

This provides a convenient and spacious mode of travel for people while also enhancing the modern and luxurious urban landscape./.
