Sri Lankan dancers to bring rhythm to Hanoi, Quang Ninh

Sri Lankan artists will perform their traditional dance to Vietnamese audience in Hanoi and the northern province of Quang Ninh.

Six dances featuring traditional spirit of the Sri Lanka include Pooja, Naga Raksha, Nalagana Vanama, Thelme, Leekeli, and Gini Sisila.

Pooja is a worship dance performed to invoke the blessing while Naga Raksha is a national dance depicting cobra monster. The dance Thelme is a vibrant expression of the pure classical and rhythmical dance from the low country.

The 14-member troupe is scheduled to give performances at Hanoi Opera House on May 5 and the Cong Nhan (Worker) Culture House in Ha Tu coal mine, Quang Ninh province on May 6.-VNA
