Bangkok (NNT/VNA) -
The Yala Provincial Administrative Organisation in the southern border province of Yala has cooperated with various sectors to organise a mural-painting activity to help children and youths with limited educational opportunities.

Officials of the Yala Provincial Administrative Organisation, civil servants, teachers and students, together participated in the mural-painting activity at Satree Yala School.

The event was attended by the award-winning artist, Thanisorn Lertwimol, and a group of fellow artists.

The objective is to promote equal education for all children and youths. After observing the murals, all sectors will be aware that Thai children and youths are still facing educational inequality and that their contributions will help improve the situation.

Yala province has organised a campaign to monitor, assist and develop young people with limited educational opportunities. Yala is one of the 20 provinces nationwide selected to join this educational project and receive funds to help the local children and youths.

In July this year, the project was implemented in Raman, Yaha and Bannang Sata districts by helping children and youths outside the educational system and those living in hardship./.
