Vietnamese athlete wins silver at junior world wrestling event

Duyen lost to Russia 's Nadezda Fedorova by 13-5 in the final of the girls' 44kg category.

Earlier, Duyen managed to defeat Ganna Boguneko of the Ukraine by 7-2 in the first round before beating Erin Simone Golston of the US by 4-2 in the second round.

The silver medal helped Vietnam rank eighth in the girls' freestyle, just behind Japan , China and Russia .

Over 1,000 wrestlers attended the event, organised by the Romanian Wrestling Federation and one of the most prestigious of the International Federation of Associated Wrestling./.
