An Giang (VNA) – Front organisations in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang and the Cambodian provinces of Takeo and Kandal have agreed to further cooperation in the next year, especially in promoting people-to-people exchanges and building a borderline of friendship.

The consensus was reached at a conference in Long Xuyen city, An Giang province, on November 3 between the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Solidarity Front for the Development of the Cambodian Motherland of Takeo and Kandal provinces.

During the conference, the front organisations discussed and agreed on the content of the cin 2017, including the dissemination of information about new laws and the exchange of visits and delegations among the three provinces.

Participants stressed the importance of ensuring security and social order along the shared borderline and foster cross-border trade links.

They held that the fruitful affiliation between the front organisations of An Giang, Takeo and Kandal provinces over the last two years significantly helped strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the localities and the two nations in general.
