Vietnamese search and rescue team finds multiple bodies in rubble in Turkey

According to foreign news agencies, as of 21:23 on February 12th (Vietnam time), the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria has claimed the lives of more than 33,000 people.

On the evening of February 12th, the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security's search and rescue team, in collaboration with Pakistani rescue forces, discovered three bodies buried under the debris in the city of Adiyaman, Turkey. All of them have been confirmed as deceased.

Due to the immense amount of concrete, retrieving the victims' bodies proved to be an arduous task. The rescue teams on site had to intervene, employing cutting and dismantling techniques to create access points to the victims.

At approximately 22:14 (Vietnam time), the first body was successfully brought out from the wreckage.

Prior to this, the rescue team managed to save a 14-year-old child from the disaster site.

Using specialized equipment, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on February 11th (local time), the rescue forces worked urgently and actively, nearly clearing the scene and eliminating secondary hazards and potential collapses.

Through the utilization of detection cameras, image recognition, and sound signals, the Vietnamese search and rescue team discovered signs of life.

Subsequently, the Vietnamese team coordinated with Turkey's coordinating agencies and the Pakistani rescue team to extract the 14-year-old victim from the rubble at 22:10 (local time).
