State President’s Orders promulgating 12 newly-adopted laws announced

The Press Law comprises four chapters and 51 articles and will take effect from July 1, 2026. The law reaffirms the revolutionary nature and historical role of Vietnam’s press, promoting the development of professional, humane and modern journalism. It also strengthens citizens’ rights, including the right to request corrections.

10th session helps strengthen public trust in personnel work, NA’s supreme oversight

Personnel consolidation carried out at the NA's 10th session helps ensure continuous, unified, effective, and efficient leadership of the state apparatus; guarantee smooth and uninterrupted direction and governance; and prevent any leadership gaps in critical areas. All positions elected or approved by the legislature meet the key criteria required within the organisational structure.

Legislature adopts important laws, resolutions

With 434 out of the 443 deputies present voting in favour, accounting for 91.75% of the total deputies, the legislature passed the draft Cybersecurity Law, which is built on the merger of the 2018 Cybersecurity Law and the 2015 Law on Cyber-information Security.
