“21st Century Ao Dai” triumphs at photo contest

the “A Glimpse of Vietnam in France” photo contest, held recently by
the Vietnamese Students Association (UEVF) chapter in north-western
France.

The second and third prizes went to Nguyen Trung Nghia with “Spring Garden” from Nantes and Pham Phuong Thao with “Student’s Guitar” from La Rochelle , respectively.
The month-long contest, the biggest of its kind for Vietnamese students in France, drew the participation of 18 UEVF chapters.
The event is part activities celebrating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France and the cultural exchange year of the two countries (2013-2014).
It has contributed to promoting the image of Vietnamese students in France, said Nguyen Hoang Tan, Vice Chairman of the UEVF chapter in Rouen and head of the organising board.
The winning photos will be on display at UEVE-held exhibitions and some cultural events marking the 40th anniversary.-VNA
