SonLa (VNA) - The 2nd InternationalAir Balloon Festivalkicked off in Moc Chau district of the northwestern mountainous province of SonLa on February 14.

The festival aims to introduce and promote a new and modern tourism product,thus enhancing the tourism attraction of the National Moc Chau Tourism Area toboth domestic and international friends.

The image of colorful balloons flying in the sky of Moc Chau plateau creates beautifulscenery. It is hoped to bring extremely interesting experiences for visitors tothe event, which is organised on the Valentine Day.

The festival brings the message of love and happiness for everyone. Throughthis event, local authorities hope to promote tourism and attract more and moredomestic and foreign holiday-makers to Moc Chau.

An air balloon and music performance programme withthe participation of balloon experts from Japan, Thailand and Vietnam will bearranged in the same day’s evening.

The festival will close on February 16.

The first international air balloon festival wasalso held in Moc Chau two years ago.-VNA
