Inauguration ceremony of tesa Site Hai Phong (Photo: baodautu.vn) Hai Phong (VNA) - A 55 million EUR adhesive tape factory was inaugurated at the Maritime and Service Industrial Park in Dinh Vu – Cat Hai economic zone, the northern port city of Hai Phong on October 12.
The tesa site Hai Phong project is to expand production and optimise supply chain of tesa to Asia - one of the most rapidly growing markets today.
This move is part of the company's strategy to expand its market and shorten the distance to customers and suppliers.
Tesa is an international manufacturer of adhesive tapes and self-adhesive solutions.
Currently, it operates 13 production facilities worldwide, including large factories in Germany (Hamburg, Offenburg), Italy, the US and China.
The new site in Hai Phong is expected to be a perfect complement to the existing production site in Suzhou, China which was opened in 2005.
Production capacities for millions of square meters of adhesive tape every year will help to strengthen tesa’s presence in Asia, significantly increase capacities and thus shorten the distance to customers and suppliers.
In the first phase, tesa Site Hai Phong Factory will recruit about 130 employees/workers, creating job opportunities for the local community, especially in the fields of engineering and manufacturing./.
