Noi Bai airport secured the certificate last year. Inorder to receive the certificate, the airport had to undergo a strictassessment of health safety measures at the airport, including cleaning anddisinfection procedures, physical distancing, staff protection, physicallayout, passenger communications, and passenger facilities.
Meanwhile, Incheon International Airport Corporation ofthe Republic of Korea (RoK) has recognised Noi Bai airport as an officialmember of the Safe Corridor Initiative (SCI).
According to the representative, over the past year,Noi Bai has maintained COVID-19 prevention and control measures to ensure absolutesafety for passengers and its staff.
In a letter sent to Noi Bai on November 12, ACIGeneral Director Luis Felipe de Oliveira said the airport has put health andsafety of passengers on top priority by implementing measures and observingrecommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) as wellas guidelines of the ACI.
The ACI is the only global trade representative of theworld’s airports. Established in 1991, it represents airports interests withGovernments and international organisations such as ICAO, develops standards,policies and recommended practices for airports, and provides information andtraining opportunities to raise standards around the world./.
