The Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the Danish Embassy jointly held a research seminar on Nov. 23 to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Denmark ties on November 25.
Addressing the event, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam John Nielsen affirmed that the enhancement of research capability is always an important part of the two countries’ cooperative programmes for comprehensive development.
Danish and Vietnamese experts discussed three issues – increasing the capacity of population and reproductive healthcare research, climate change and economic development in Vietnam.
On this occasion, the ministry presented an insignia for the cause of science and technology to Danish professors Finn Tarp and Henrik Enevoldsen and Danish Ambassador John Nielsen.
To honour the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Denmark ties, Danish Crown Prince Frederik will pay an official visit to Vietnam from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1./.
