ADB delegation examines projects in Vietnam

A delegation from the Board of Governors at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by its Executive Director Maliami bin Hamad paid a working visit to Vietnam from October 10-13.
A delegation from the Board of Governors at the Asian Development Bank(ADB) led by its Executive Director Maliami bin Hamad paid a workingvisit to Vietnam from October 10-13.

During thevisit, the delegation had working sessions with the State Bank ofVietnam , the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Ministry ofFinance as well as visited some ADB-funded projects in the centralprovince of Quang Nam and Ho Chi Minh City .

The annual activity aimed to exchange information on the socio-economicdevelopment of ADB developing member countries in the region, assessthe efficiency of development projects and programmes funded by thebank.

ADB provided Vietnam with 12.5 billion USDbetween 1993 and 2013. The bank plans to offer 3.67 billion USD to thecountry during the 2015-2017 period.-VNA
