The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide 100 million USD in non-refundable aid for the five southern central provinces of Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Kon Tum to implement a project on transport infrastructure construction.

Anto, head of a working delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and the ADB, revealed the information at a working session with the Binh Phuoc provincial People’s Committee on August 21.

The project, scheduled to start in early 2016, aims to provide efficient, safe and reliable road systems for local residents.

Apart from improving transport infrastructure, it will also focus on promoting economic and tourism development in ethnic minority-inhabited areas and poor communities in those provinces.
At the session, the bank pledged to provide 900,000 USD for the localities next year to make a detailed plan for the project.-VNA
