AFF U22 Championship: Group B match time, venue changes

The last two matches in Group B of the ongoing ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U22 Youth Championship will take place at the same time in different venues on February 22, according to the latest announcement of tournament’s organisers.

Hanoi (VNA) – The last twomatches in Group B of the ongoing ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U22 YouthChampionship will take place at the same time in different venues on February22, according to the latest announcement of tournament’s organisers.

Aside from host Cambodia which has alreadysecured the group’s top position, the remaining teams are vying for a berth in thesemi-finals. Currently, Indonesia have two points, while Malaysia and Myanmar havejust one point each.

Due to unpredictable circumstances, bothmatches will be held concurrently at 6.30pm (local time).

Cambodia will play Indonesia at the PhnomPenh National Olympic Stadium. Meanwhile, the Myanmar-Malaysia match,previously set to kick off at 3.30pm, will take place at the RSN Stadium, witha capacity of 5,000 seats.

In Group A, Vietnam ranked first after agoalless draw with Thailand on February 21.

Both of the teams had booked their spots inthe semi-finals of the regional competition by winning against the Philippinesand Timor-Leste.

The semi-finals of the tournament will beheld on February 24. Thailand will play against Cambodia, who tops Group B, inthe round. Vietnam will meet the runner-up of Group B. –VNA
