Press Marathon 2024 to attract about 500 journalists

About 500 journalists are expected to join the third Press Marathon 2024 on June 30 in Ecopark urban residential area in the northern province of Hung Yen.

Hanoi (VNA) – About 500 journalists are expected to join the third Press Marathon 2024 on June 30 in Ecopark urban residential area in the northern province of Hung Yen.

The tournament will be held by the Vietnam ICT Press Club under the Vietnam Journalists’ Association on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – 2024).

The runners will compete in the 5km, 10km and 21.6km events.

Head of the tournament organising committee - journalist Le Bao Trung, head of the Science-Technology Department of Dan Tri newspaper said the tournament aims to spread the spirit of sportsmanship and promote a healthy lifestyle for reporters.

After the tournament, the Vietnam ICT Press Club will launch a fund-raising campaign to support disadvantaged children in mountainous areas./.
