– President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has lauded TruongHai Group Corporation (THACO), a multi-industry holding corporation, for itscontributions to national economic development.

- Vietnam always treasures and appreciates therole of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in assisting countries topeacefully settle international disputes by arbitration procedures andinternational conciliation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has told PCASecretary General Marcin Czepelak.

– The Vietnamese Government commits allpossible support to Dutch firms to do business for a long term in Vietnam,Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has stated during meetings with businessrepresentatives as part of his official visit to the Netherlands.
At a working session with President of theConfederation of Netherlands’ Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW) Ingrid Thijssenon December 11 (local time), PM Chinh said the Netherlands is now the biggestEU investor in Vietnam, ranking eighth out of 141 countries and territoriesinvesting in the country with 409 valid projects worth 13.7 billion USD.Read full story

– Vietnam was among the first to sign theUnited Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in 1982, calling onother countries in the ASEAN region to respect and abide by this document, saidBryon Wilfert, a former MP and a member of the Research Advisory Board at theCanadian-based think tank Macdonald Laurier Institute.

Vietnam-India relations enter new phase of development: Indian expert

Top leader’s visits opening new phase of deeper, more effective ties with India, Sri Lanka: FM

Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung described the visits as particularly important and historic, taking place at a meaningful moment as Vietnam and India mark the 10th anniversary of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and just one month after the top leader of Vietnam assumed his new position. For Sri Lanka, this was the highest-level visit by a Vietnamese leader since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
