- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 12 met Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, expressing his hope that the royal family and the queen will continue supporting efforts to boost the two countries’ relations, and its financial aid and technical transfer to Vietnam.

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands Jan Anthonie Bruijn and Vera Bergkamp on December 12, as part of his official visit to the European country.
PM Chinh highlighted the fruitful development of the bilateral relations in politics, economy - trade, and security – defence, affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to strengthen the comprehensive partnership with the Netherlands in all fields. Read full story
- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a Vietnam-Netherlands Business Forum within the framework of his official visit to the European country on December 12 afternoon (local time).
Speaking at the event, PM Chinh said that in 50 years of cooperation, the nature of Vietnam-Netherlands relations has changed, with Vietnam becoming a win-win partner of the Netherlands instead of just being an aid recipient. Read full story
- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jiri Kozak on December 12 affirmed that the country supports efforts to strengthen ties between Vietnam and the EU.
During a meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Le Thi Thu Hang as part of his visit to Vietnam from December 12 to 13, Jiri said that as the rotating President of the EU Council in the second half of 2022, the Czech Government has always actively boosted the removal of the European Commission’s IUU “yellow card” warning against Vietnam’s aquatic product exports. - The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has proposed the Ministry of Transport add nine airports to the national airport planning for 2030 with a vision to 2050.
The proposed airports are in Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Ha Tinh, Kon Tum, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Dak Nong and Tay Ninh provinces. Read full story
- The northern coastal province of Quang Ninh has attracted 2.18 billion USD in foreign investment so far this year, the first time the capital poured into the locality surpasses the 2-billion-USD mark.
The Quang Ninh LNG Power Plant project worth 1.998 billion USD is the biggest contributor, receiving its investment license in July. Read full story
- First Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast announced on December 13 that it handed over 594 EVs of VF e34 and VF 8 models to its customers in November.
The company, a member of private conglomerate Vingroup, is planning the delivery of thousands of units of the two models for pre-order customers when the supply chain is stable and production is no longer interrupted, as well as the first VF 9 ones at the beginning of the first quarter next year.Read full story
- Hanoi is aiming for its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita to reach about 150 million VND (6,348 USD) by 2023.
