– Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trongasked the people's public security force to further promote its leading role inParty building and rectification while addressing a conference of the Central PublicSecurity Party Committee in Hanoi on June 15.
The conference also attracted the participationof President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who arePolitburo members and members of the Standing Board of the Central PublicSecurity Party Committee, among others. Read full story

– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasised thespirit of preventing drug crimes early, from afar, and from their sources,while addressing a programme held in Hanoi on June 14.

– Members of the National Assembly StandingCommittee gave opinions on major issues that require clarification andadjustments regarding draft resolutions to be adopted by the legislature in its5th sitting, during a meeting chaired by NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue onJune 15.
For the draft resolution on taking the vote ofconfidence for those who hold positions elected or approved by the NationalAssembly or People's Councils, Hue said the committee basically agreed with thereport of the NA’s Law Committee on a number of issues of explanation,acceptance, and revision of the draft resolution. – Ambassador Vu Ho, acting head of SOM ASEAN Vietnam, voicedconcerns about the ongoing complicated developments in cyber security, climatechange, and East Sea issues at the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Senior Officials’Meeting (SOM) held on June 14 in Jakarta.
Speaking at the meeting, the diplomat stressed principled stanceof ASEAN and suggested partners, when operating in the waters, should respectinternational law, particularly the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea(UNCLOS 1982), jointly building the East Sea into a sea of peace, stability,cooperation and development. The book provides businesswomen and femaleleaders of enterprises and organisations with basic knowledge on informationsafety on the internet and cyber security, prevention measures, how to detectcyber threats, and necessary actions in response to cyber attacks. Read full story./.

NA President meets Vietnamese community members in Mongolia

NA President Tran Thanh Man acknowledged the difficulties facing Vietnamese people in Mongolia, particularly the harsh climate, and expressed his hope that the community will further uphold solidarity and mutual support while settling down their lives, doing business, studying and integrating into the host society.

Vietnam–France ties poised for new phase of strategic cooperation

With a solid foundation of cooperation and trust built over half a century, underpinned by the highest-level cooperation framework, the official visit to France and attendance at the International Space Summit by General Secretary and President To Lam will be a success, helping to further deepen bilateral ties.

Turkey hails Vietnam’s growing international standing

Vietnamese Ambassador to Türkiye Dang Thi Thu Ha reviewed the development of bilateral ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1978, affirming that cooperation has grown strongly and substantively, particularly in politics and diplomacy, economy and trade, and defence and security. She congratulated Türkiye on officially becoming a dialogue partner of ASEAN.

Vietnam, China step up theoretical exchanges, share Party-building experience

During his working visit to China, Nguyen Xuan Thang, member of the 13th Party Central Committee's Political Bureau and Chairman of the Central Theory Council, had a meeting with Li Shulei, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPC Central Committee’s Secretariat, and Head of the CPC Central Committee’s Publicity Department, during which the two sides held in-depth discussions on theoretical research, practical reviews and Party building, and agreed to further strengthen cooperation and experience sharing between the two Parties.

Vietnam, Australia’s Northern Territory eye direct air route

A key proposal raised during the meetings was the early establishment of a direct air route linking Vietnam with Darwin. The route is expected to facilitate travel as well as trade, investment, education and tourism ties, while further promoting people-to-people exchanges.
