Agro-forestry, fishery exports: 4.8 billion USD in two months

The export of agro-forestry and fishery products grossed 4.83 billion USD in the first two months of this year, a year on year rise of 31.5 percent.

According to the Ministry of Agricultureand Rural Development, Vietnam shipped abroad 415,000 tonnes ofcoffee for 884 million USD, up 22.3 percent in volume and 38.1 percentin value year on year. The US and Germany remain the country’slargest coffee importers.

During the period,shipments of rice rose by 68.2 percent to 677,000 tonnes valued at 310million USD, down 15.4 percent in value.

Pepperalso contributed 169 million USD to the revenue of the country’s farmproduce exports, with a total volume of 25,000 tonnes.

Rubber, tea and cashew nuts saw declines in volume but maintained fairrevenue growth. The export of rubber dipped 31.5 percent to 179,000tonnes, bagging 518 million USD, a 16.6 percent increase.

Tea raked in 33 million USD from the 21,000 tonnes exported, down 5.7percent in volume but up 18.6 percent in value. Pakistan remainsVietnam ’s top market, buying 18.9 percent of Vietnam ’s exports. Thevolume and value of tea exported to the United Arab Emiratesincreased eightfold from last year.

Exports ofcassava and its products grew substantially; over 1 million tonnesvalued at 308 million USD, up 3.1 percent in volume and 55.4 percent invalue.

Wood and wooden products brought home 831million USD, and seafood 876 million USD, representing a respective riseof 36.2 percent and 11.6 percent.-VNA

Vietnam promotes finance for green agriculture

Over the past five years, Vietnam has developed and gradually implemented a green finance system to support low-emission and environmentally friendly production, including agriculture. Based on the State Bank of Vietnam's Directive No. 03/CT-NHNN dated March 24, 2015, banks including BIDV, VCB, HDBank and Agribank have introduced green credit packages for waste treatment, high-tech agriculture, digital transformation, regional linkages and emission reduction across production chains.

Vietnam advances in building, using migrant labour data system: workshop

Data presented in the report reflects effective migration governance in recent years. The average recruitment cost paid by migrant workers dropped by 23.8%, from 164.9 million VND (6,400 USD) in 2021 to 125.7 million VND in 2025. Conversely, average first-month earnings abroad rose by 25.4%, increasing from 22.4 million VND to 28.1 million VND.

Vietnam steps up trade, investment promotion at China-ASEAN Expo

According to the CAEXPO Secretariat, Vietnam will once again lease an entire exhibition area of about 3,000sq.m, featuring 170 booths, making it one of the ASEAN countries with the largest exhibition spaces at this year’s event. Six groups of products, services proposed at Vietnam International Financial Centre

Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said the products and services include investment funds and asset management, asset-backed digital assets, international carbon credits, commodity trading and derivatives infrastructure linked to trade and supply-chain financing, financial technology, and bonds issued at the centre. As these groups are at different stages of readiness, they will be rolled out in phases rather than simultaneously.
