Thua Thien - Hue (VNA) – Nguyen Ngoc Trong shot a hole-in-one to claim a Mercedes-Benz E200 worth 100,000 USD at the Laguna Golf Classic 2015 in the central province at the weekend.

Ngoc, a member at Laguna Lang Co Golf Club, bagged the prize at the fifth hole.

Mai Dang Khoa won the overall event with a net score of 138 over two rounds, winning him a lifetime membership at Laguna Lang Co Golf Club and a Banyan Tree golf holiday package collectively worth 25,000 USD.

The two-day tournament drew the participation of nearly 100 golfers.

On November 13, golf legend Sir Nick Faldo – also chief designer of the Laguna Lang Co course – also hosted a fun one-hour Golf Clinic.

It's the first time Sir Faldo has attended an amateur tournament after becoming the Brand Ambassador for Laguna Lang Co – the first and largest integrated resort in Vietnam.

Sir Nick has been helping to put Laguna Lang Co on the global map, and the course was named among the Top 10 Best Golf Resorts in Asia-Pacific and Top 5 Best Courses in Vietnam at the Asian Golf Awards 2015 in October.

"Laguna Lang Co is one of the most special courses in my career," Sir Nick shared.

"I certainly hope to support the development of golf in Vietnam, especially with my Faldo Junior Series whose Asia Grand Final will be at Laguna Lang Co Golf Club in 2017."-VNA
