Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Anh Tuan has visited High School 251 named after President Ho Chi Minh in Kiev on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and the new academic year of 2020-2021.
Speaking at a meeting with administrators and students of the school, the Vietnamese diplomat wished teachers and students to soon overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and made greater achievements in the new school year.
He expressed his hope that the school will focus on embellishing the gallery displaying artifacts related to President Ho Chi Minh at the school, and continue to contributing to further tightening the Vietnam-Ukraine friendship.
The ambassador also presented certificates of merit and gifts to representatives of the school and students who won prizes in the writing contest about President Ho Chi Minh jointly organised by the embassy and the school.
Rector of the school Larysa P. Shulga highlighted the significance of the contest, saying that it helped the school’s students to understand more about the history and beloved leader of Vietnam.
She also expressed her sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine, the Vietnam-Ukraine Friendship Association, the Ukraine-Vietnam Friendship Association, and Vietnamese people for their support to the school to effectively respond to COVID-19./.
