The Thai Foreign Ministry has revealed that many American businesses have expressed their wish to expand investment in Thailand, particularly in the medical and chemical sectors.
General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a dinner reception for 80 visiting American businessmen in Bangkok on November 4.
Ministry spokesperson Sek Wannamethee said that the visiting businessmen, representing various sectors from technology to automotive and chemicals, showed their confidence in Thailand’s role as the leader of the Southeast Asian community and in the Thai government’s economic and investment policies.
Earlier, they met with Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, who explained to them the government’s roadmap towards a better and more stable Thailand.-VNA
