Nguyen Anh Tri, Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, highlighted the drive at a voluntary blood donation festival on February 24 to kick-start the annual event nationwide.
He expressed his hope that the initiative will get warm response from agencies and individuals to save more lives.
Over the past 10 years, many lives have been saved by 6.4 million units of blood collected from donors.-VNA
