Da Nang (VNA) – A photo exhibition featuring theland and people of Vietnam is taking place at the International Media Centre inthe central city of Da Nang as an activity to celebrate the APEC 2017 EconomicLeaders’ Week.
Jointly organised by the APEC 2017 National Committee, the Ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism and the Da Nang People’s Committee, the exhibition displays100 artistic photos introducing Vietnam’s beautiful landscapes, economic andtourism potential, and culture as well as the life of Vietnamese people.
The event is hoped to contribute to the common success of the APEC Vietnam Year2017 while bringing the images of Vietnam’s land and people closer tointernational friends and opening up new investment opportunities for thecountry in various fields like economy, culture and tourism.
The APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week, themed “Creating New Dymanism, FosteringA Shared Future” is scheduled for November 6-11 in Da Nang.
Established in 1989, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) comprises 21economies, including Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong(China), Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, NewZealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, ChineseTaipei, Thailand, the US, and Vietnam.
APEC represents about 39 percent of the world’s populationand contributes 57 percent to global GDP and 49 percent of international trade.-VNA
