Application of technology in university

In the era of technology 4.0, QR Codes are being applied in many areas of life. The use of QR codes to take attendance for lectures is a new way of using this technology that a university has adopted.

It takes only 50 seconds to enter personal information including full name, student code and class. The teacher then writes the attendance code on the board for students to enter. The use of technology in universities is not new, but scanning codes for attendance checks is relatively new.

Whether it is 100 or 1,000 students, this process takes just 1 minute instead of 10-15 minutes as before. QR codes are also used for interactive exercises. This reduces the interval time to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning.

Although it’s only being applied on a small scale, this is considered a good way of improving attendance. However, some students are worried because if this attendance check method is applied nationwide, they will have to think again before skipping class./.
